Current Sunday Classes

The Epistle to the Philippians: Joy and Contentment

Start Date: January 5
Fellowship Hall | 9:00–10:15 a.m. | 8-week class

How do we have joy in the midst of disappointment? How do we stay content through hardship? How do we remain unified even as our cultural rifts grow wider? By inspiration of the Spirit, the Apostle Paul answers these questions (and more) while imprisoned in Rome, awaiting an unknown fate. Join us as we discover “the secret of being content in any and every situation,” so together we can “Rejoice in the Lord always!”

Taught by Nahashon Mbugua

Room 100 | 9:45 a.m.

Oasis is a Sunday morning class for individuals with a desire to know God better and enjoy Christian fellowship regardless of a disability or special need. Focused primarily on teenage years and older, the class studies God’s Word, prays and has fun together growing in our faith and discovering the abundant life we all have in Christ. Anyone is free to drop in at any time – we love visitors!

Empowered to Influence!

Start Date: January 5
Fellowship Hall | 9:00–10:15 a.m. | 7-week Class

Whether we realize it or not, we all have the potential to influence others. Jesus calls us to be the light of the world and salt of the earth—to be a godly influence on those we encounter every day. Through this class, we will learn to make everyday life a continual act of worship. Using video, workbook and small group discussions, we will see how to take the church into our community every day.

Hosted by Pastor Kulp and facilitated by members of Chelten’s Missions Committee

Have you attended Chelten for a while now, but still don’t know much about us? Are you interested in membership? It’s probably time for you to find out what makes Chelten tick.

Single and Parenting Workbook

Single and Parenting

Begins January 8
Fellowship Hall | 7:00–8:30 p.m. | 14-week Class

Single parenting is tough. You want to do the best for your kids but worry you can’t. It’s all you can do just to survive. Sometimes you want to give up. That’s a normal reaction. You’re doing the job of two people, and you’re tired.

Wouldn’t it be great to meet weekly with other single parents who understand your day-to-day worries and struggles? Wouldn’t it be helpful to learn and discuss with them parenting strategies and insights? Good news. You can, right here at Chelten.

Cost: $15.00

Sign up online or at the Welcome Center.

Your children in grades 1–5 are invited to attend Explorer Girls or Master Builders while you attend Single and Parenting. Visit our Children’s Ministry page to learn more and register them.

Men’s Ministry Meetings

Over the course of eight verse-by-verse video sessions, pastor and author Eric Mason expands our vision to see that Jonah’s story is our own. Far more than a thrilling Sunday school adventure, it offers a profound glimpse into the conflict that occurs when God calls resistant believers to his mission. More importantly, it underscores the depths of his compassion not only in redeeming the lost, but redeeming those he has called to participate in his reconciling work.
